The painting below was created in 2023 and in 2024 I gifted it to a very special couple. I have known my whole life. Their partner is terminally ill and I wanted to provide something to help lift their spirits during these very unfair and challenging times. Their wife saw this painting from it’s very early stages and really liked the painting even then, she shared with me what it reminded her of and what it meant to her.
When I delivered the painting their husband said what he could see in the painting and what it symbolised to him.
That’s the beauty of art it can speak to people in different ways and each person can interpret the work differently.
I want my work to provide a sense of well-ness and promote wellbeing in those who see my work.

In 2023 I sold this painting to the owners of the Orchid Cafe in Sherwood Nottingham. This featured in their beautiful cafe on their wall for all customers and visitors to enjoy until recently I was informed it’s now been hung in their own home to appreciate privately. This made me smile to know that my art is still valued and so much so they want to have it in their own home on their walls.
